Contemporary House in Marbella

In a privileged corner of the Costa del Sol and surrounded by kilometres of Mediterranean sandy beach, villas and golf courses you will find this residence of geometric shapes and contemporary style that we had the opportunity to decorate a few months ago. The owners were looking for a house that reflected their love for art, collectibles and contemporary lines.

The entrance of the house is flanked by two geometrically shaped steel planters that mix their contemporary lines with those of the residence.

In the hall we find a console table made of steel with a glass top that combines perfectly with the contemporary staircase topped with a steel handrail. The graphic work on the walls are methacrylate photographs of some of the owners' favourite beaches and the glass pieces are handcrafted by the Guadarte glass factory..

The dining room is divided into two spaces that maintain their functionality and personality without invading itselves and that respect the style and materials used by the architectural studio in the project..

The dining table is decorated with a collection of bottles from the 70 's that the owner bought in El Rastro in Madrid and the carved wooden cup is a piece that they bought at an antiques dealer in Antwerp.

The dining table is made of oak and steel, It is part of the Guardarte Contemporary Furniture Collection and contrasts with the pair of black glazed ceramic mirrors.

A large chaise longue sofa of over 3 metres upholstered with natural linen fibers is the center of the living room. This fabric provides freshness and comfort due to its softness and gives a very natural appearance that recalls the simple and elegant lifestyle of the Costa del Sol..

The owners are lovers of photography and decoration, and they have managed to combine their hobbies with the most up to date trends that we find in textile manufacturers.

The marble sculpture is a piece acquired at the Paris Flea Market and reflects the couple's love for art.. They wanted some corners of the house to function as a museum where they could display some of the pieces from their personal collection.

A large black mirror flanked by crystal obelisks, gives access to the corridor that leads to the other rooms of the house.

In the office we find the desk with a glass top on which is the collection of magazines from the 70. 's. Metal mesh chairs combine design and craftsmanship. Everything from the Ivory Collection of Guardarte.

The main room is furnished with a tufted headboard upholstered in metallic eco leather, that combines with the metallic elements used in the decoration.

The contemporary style "Nube" colour lacquered bedside tables serve as a platform for the original antique lamps that the owners use as a bedside table lamp..

Every corner of this house is a small museum of contemporary art and collectibles, so that the geometric and modern lines of the house are balanced with the charm of each of these pieces.

The reading chair located in front of the bedroom window, is upholstered in an aubergine brocade that contrasts with the thick linen curtains that close the room. The stone obelisk, It is an original piece acquired in a London antique dealer.

From the terrace you can enjoy the pleasant climate of the Costa del Sol and the panoramic views of the landscape , which at certain times of the day offers spectacular images.

To decorate the pool, ceramic pieces glazed in shades of blue and turquoise have been used. The iron chair and the stone side table are part of the Guadarte Outdoor Collection.

Villa in Andalusia

This time, we want to share with you the project of a sunny Villa in southern Spain. Traditional architecture, a style full of elegance and a feeling of being at home that has made us fall in love.

EXTERIOR VIEW OF THE VILLA
The house has several terraces and incredible views of the pool. The symmetry and proportions of the spaces make this house look majestic by the warmth of the sunset.

MAIN ENTRANCE
The entrance to the Villa is flanked by two columns, taking inspiration from classic porches. The tartessian star-shaped fountain is a very frequent symbol in Andalusian culture.

A VERY NATURAL CLASSIC
The living room is decorated in neutral tones and with classic-style furniture.. Both, the fabrics and the furniture finishes give the project a very natural look, that combines very well with the large windows and its wooden carpentry.

NATURAL LIGHT IN EVERY CORNER
If there is something that stands out in this project , It is the natural light that reaches every corner of the house. The large semi-circular windows have been a good choice. The table lamps give symmetry to the space and the continuity of the side tables with the coffee table.

COTTON, PATINA AND JUTE
The natural trend of the house continues in the dining room. The natural cotton fabric on the chairs, the jute rug and the grey finished table are a good example of how materials in natural finishes always go well together.

DETAILS OF THE DINING TABLE
The trivets, the dishes, the cutlery ... Every detail is taken care of in this project and every detail is respectful of the essence of the whole . As Leonardo da Vincci used to say: "Perfection is not a detail, but the details are perfection ".

THE PATIO GALLERY
In this image the protagonism is taken by the three large exits to the patio that fill the corridor with light. Nevertheless, on the opposite wall the wall sconces are strategically placed to warmly illuminate the hallway when the night falls.

TERRACE OF WROUGHT IRON AND RATTAN
The terraces have been decorated with wrought iron and rattan furniture, which are materials that maintain the essence of the project, This is the result of using traditional elements that work well together.

FRENCH INSPIRED SUITE
Although the house maintains a marked traditional Andalusian look, French inspiration can be seen in more than one detail. For example, in this Louis XVI style armchair with its matching puff.

We hope that this project has been to your liking and that it helps you to explore the possibilities offered by our extensive product catalogue. See you!

From Russia in style

The designer Lada Kulakova conquered the owners of this house with her personal style of decoration that mixes textures, colours and styles. The result is a magnificent magazine house that is not only beautiful to photograph, but also to live it.

WAITING ROOM

The living room combines elements from our catalogue with original designs of the designer that fit perfectly.

PROJECTS WITH ART

To develop a great decoration project, it is always a good idea to accompany quality products with works of art. The picture, painted on silk, was bought in a Hong Kong antiques store.

FIREPLACE AREA

The decorator used a mirrored wall behind the fireplace that helps to reflect the light from the windows and gives a feeling of spaciousness to the space. The hand-forged iron lamp hangs from the ceiling as the main protagonist of the living room.

CRAFTSMANSHIP ALWAYS PRESENT

Craftsmanship is present in many details of this project. From the lamps made in the Guadarte workshops to this armchair bought by the owners in Bali.

LARGE DINING ROOM

The owners love to enjoy the company of friends and family, so an important part of the project was a large dining room. In this environment, two Guadarte lamps hang from the ceiling with decorative elements of handmade ceramics..
