Tips for your "Home Office"

In these so different times, many companies and workers have found a way to continue their activity by establishing their office at home. In many cases, it is an excellent way to reconcile work and family life, but it requires an extra of organisation and discipline. Creating an optimal environment for work is essential to develop our activity. Here are some tips on decoration to create your work corner at home.

NATURAL LIGHT

One of the things that you will appreciate the most if you work from home is enjoying natural light. Design your workspace as close as possible to a window or a source of natural light, and if you can also combine it with good views, even better!.

LIBRARIES OR SHELVES NEAR THE WORK AREA

Creating a workspace is much more than finding a place for your desk. Ideally, you can have a bookcase or some piece of furniture nearby where you can keep your documents in order..

SPACE RESERVED FOR VISITS

If you will have to attend a client or supplier at home, it is a good idea to find a reserved place in an other part of the house. A loft or attic can be an excellent choice.

SPACES WITH ART

Take advantage of the fact that you are the owner of your space to create an environment according to your tastes. An office doesn't have to be just cold and alight. It is much better if it is a cozy and pleasant space in which you feel comfortable. Find a painting that you like, a designer lamp, reserve a space for your coffee ... It all depends on your tastes.

TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE CORRIDORS

The ideal is to have the desk and the bookcase close , but if it is not possible, maybe you can take advantage of a nearby corridor as a storage place. Remember that order is very important if you are going to work at home and you don't want to have mountains of papers everywhere.

VINTAGE OBJECTS TO DECORATE

Ideally, our workspace is useful and practical, but you also have to think about its look when you are not using it. A great way to decorate it is with an old typewriter, a charming flexo or a nice pencil. Time to rummage through the storage room for some gem!

WORK AREA ALWAYS WELL ILLUMINATED

If you don't have a nearby window or you have to work at night, use an auxiliary lamp so that the work area is always sufficiently illuminated. A poorly lit area depletes our visual acuity and will affect our performance.

FIND THE BEST GUIDANCE

Not everyone has exceptional views from their home, but if you have the opportunity to place your desk facing good views of your city or a landscape like this, do not hesitate. Your work days will be much more pleasant.

Nostalgia in Tuscany

In the Italian region of Tuscany you will find an artistic, historical, economic, and cultural heritage of incalculable value. In the heart of this place, hidden among the trees and the fog, we can find this exclusive residential project that evokes a certain air of nostalgia.

THE ETERNAL VILLA

The walls of this residence have years of stories and memories that somehow, over time, have been merging with the landscape.

NATURAL LIGHT IN THE ENTRANCE HALL

Light filters in through the stained glass windows of the ajar door to dimly illuminate the armchair upholstered in natural linen and the furniture in pale green tones.

CRAFTSMANSHIP IN EVERY DETAIL

Every corner of this house breathes crafts. The frescoes on the walls, the artworks and of course the furniture finished by hand with traditional techniques that seem to blend with the architecture.

HAND FORGED LANTERN

This elegant classic-style lantern hangs from the hall ceiling, but with a traditional character that warmly illuminates the paint on the walls.

A TIMELESS AND ELEGANT LIVING ROOM

The exclusive residence has in its heart a timeless lounge, dominated by an imposing fireplace that captures the visitor's attention.

BRITISH INSPIRATION

The sofas and armchairs have a certain British inspiration in their lines, but they have been refined to suit the Italian taste of the owners.

TRADITIONAL ARCHES

The semicircular arch entrance puts a frame to the reading room like a portrait, which is delimited by the two armchairs upholstered in natural linen.

A STANDARD OF DECORATION

The reading room has been decorated in a classic way with traditional elements of the history of decoration such as chandeliers, wing seats and column libraries. Of course, with a marble top on the hand-forged iron table.

READING LIGHT

The delicate light that enters through the window invites to relaxed reading in one of the soft armchairs that accompany the bookcase finished in matte black.

COLLAGE OF TIMES

In some areas of the house, contemporary pieces have been mixed with classic elements such as this tufted sofa upholstered in washed velvet.

AUTUMN DETAILS

The decorative flowers combine perfectly with the reddish tones of the armchairs that are located in the main bedroom of the residence.

Ten Inspiring Ideas for Autumn

We welcome this special time of the year when dry leaves, warm tones and natural textures make our homes perfect havens in which to relax with a good coffee. Here we propose some ideas to give your houses that cozy touch of autumn.

1. WOOD AND NATURAL FABRIC
Natural wood will undoubtedly be our best ally to achieve the most autumnal look. Another essential element will be natural fabric such as linen.

2. FIREPLACES AND RUGS
Another characteristic element of homes in autumn are the fireplaces, especially if they are accompanied by upholstered armchairs with vegetal motifs and washed velvet footrests. Of course, rugs will be our great allies in the living rooms.

3. LOUNGE CHAIRS AND CAPITONÉ
Autumn invites to reading, and there is nothing better than finding a cozy corner of our house near a window and relaxing on a padded chaise longue with a good book.

4. NATURAL STONE AND MOUNTAIN
Using natural stone in a wall can be the perfect complement to a cozy mountain house and enjoy this time of year.

5. AUTHENTIC LEATHER AND CUSHIONS
Leather always brings a genuine touch to our projects. If we know how to combine our upholstery with some soft cushions with a worn look, we will have the perfect combination.

6. WOODEN BEAMS
Undoubtedly, wooden beams are elements that provide warmth and naturalness to our projects. They can be elements integrated into the structure of the house or simply decorative, but they always work.

7. REGIONAL DECORATION
An old trunk, old ceramic jars or wrought iron elements typical of the area are details that will give that cozy touch to the house so sought after in the autumn look.

8. COLOURS OF NATURE
The typical autumn colour palette includes greens, brown, beige and grey. Avoid bright colours and look for homogeneity between all textures and elements.

9. SPECIAL CORNERS
Seize the opportunity to change some pieces of place and find the perfect corner for one of your armchairs. Reddish tones are perfect, but if you also accompany them with some details of flowers or dried leaves you will have a unique atmosphere.

10. ROMANTIC LIGHTING
And finally, but not less important, the lighting. Conceive your house as if it was a theater stage, illuminate corners and details with auxiliary lamps, use dimmers for your lights and always use a warm temperature on your bulbs.
I hope these tips are useful for your projects!!
See you next month, we will come with more ideas and interesting reports.
